Tropospheric photochemical modeling, global ozone budget, global atmospheric sources of nitrogen, tropospheric HOx budget, radiative transfer and the impact of clouds on photolysis rates, integration of in situ airborne data with satellite observations.

Current NASA-funded Responsibilities
Project scientist for the Measurements of Pollution in the Troposphere (MOPITT) instrument, which observes how the lower atmosphere interacts with the land and ocean biospheres, focusing on the distribution, transport, sources and sinks of carbon monoxide and methane

Recent Awards
NASA Outstanding Leadership Medal (2009) for outstanding leadership of the ARCTAS field campaign while detailed to NASA HQ as manager of the Tropospheric Chemistry Program. NASA Exceptional Achievement Medal (2008) for exceptional achievement and sustained scientific contributions to NASA's Tropospheric Chemistry Program airborne science field campaigns. Lawrence Award (2006 and 2007) for outstanding research publication of the year in the Science Directorate, NASA Langley Research Center. Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (2001).
